SANTACOMPACT

The SANTACOMPACT provides the mechanical basis for highest quality requirements
in open-width knitted fabrics, by securing the results of preceding shrinking
and relaxing treatment and also adjusting the fabric to the minimum possible
residual shrinkage values through sensitive additional compressive shrinking in
the compacting calander, while treating it extremely gently and preserving
maximum volume.



Uses:

The SANTACOMPACT is used for equalizing, steaming, smoothing, compacting, and
for checking the finished width of open-width knitted fabrics, for example in
the pretreatment and after-treatment of printed jersey materials or in cases
where delivery of the finished goods is required in open-width form.

Main features:

Width control and equalization of open-width knitted fabric through
distortion-free, controlled pinning and width management in an equalizing frame,
optionally equipped with individual chain adjustment system

Condensate-free steam box with compensation for different widths, completely
corrosion-resistant version

Tensionless and distortion-free pinning with short, direct and crease-free feed
into compacting part of machine

Specially designed elastic felt belt in cascaded compacting units for compacting
in two stages

Heatable smoothing and shrinking rollers for smoothing the fabric

Fabric winding on cardboard cores with manual or automatic changing facility,
optionally with inspection table



Advantages:

No tentering frame treatment required for knitted fabrics made of 100% cotton or
cotton blends that do not require heat setting

Minimal residual shrinkage values combined with uniform fabric appearance and
soft supple handle thanks to marked voluminosity of the treated fabric

Mesh compression through specially structured patented multilayer felt belt

Pretreatment and after-treatment of printed knitted goods is possible in
conjunction with a shrinking and relaxing dryer without any additional machinery
in end finishing

Compact machine layout with great flexibility for operator-friendly operation

Also possible:

Selvedge gluing to prepare printed fabric, with high-intensity edge drying
and subsequent edge trimming for uniform end width.
