Three Rolls Calander


They are used , after needled loom, for felt Calibration, partial thermal Bonding, and surface Smoothing. 

Calendering Improves the product characteristics, Increases the mechanical strength, Calibrates the thickness, and Increases the fibers bonding. 

This reduces Transportation costs, imparts added Value and reduces delamination. 

Possibility of simply imparting aesthetic effects, or to achieve total bonding of the product. 

Compact machine to be located just after the last needle loom, without any need to modify existing lines. 

Application : Geotextile, Filter, Wiper, Support for synthetic leather and coating, Felt for shoes, Decoration felt Technical felt. 



Technical features : 

- Rolls heated by internal circulation of thermal oil, that includes a special circuit providing homogenous temperatures right across the roll width. 

- System to adjust the rolls distances, for felt calibrations, via motors and display in the control board 

- Pressure from 2 to 100 tonnes, complete with roll flexing compensation system. 

- Roll diameters from 400 to 800 mm. Rolls width up to 7 m

- Roll surfaces are hard chromed and polished. 

- Two or three hot rolls, in vertical plane. 3 Rolls used for heavy felt in order to increase the time into the rolls.

- Oil heating system using a gas fired burner oil heater, electric elements or using existing oil plant. 



Accessories : 

- Metal detector, to prevent marks on the rolls due to needle passing

- Individual setting of the temperature in the rolls

- Oil heater via gas fired burner or electric element

- Upper hood for smokes aspiration
