Technical Specification:

SMART 200 MTC is a new yarn control system for an advanced production control,
that allows the accurate count of yarn meters wound on doubling or winding
machines. This system consists of a terminal SMART 200 MTC which communicates
with IS3W/MTC sensors, installed on the machine traversing point with traverse
control, during the yam collection phase.



The sensor, installed upstream the drum zone, is able to intercept and count the
number of traverses carried out. Thanks to DRUM function, that allows to set up
the drum length, and therefore the length of yarn that will be wound on the
bobbin during the stroke, will be possible to program the number of meters
required for each bobbin (TARGET) in an accurate and reliable way and to stop
automatically the position, when the TARGET fixed is reached.



Furthermore with COUNT function allows to visualize in real time meters of yarns
collected.

The sensor IS3W/MTC is also able to detect the yam missing condition due to an
anomaly, for instance a broken yarn or a yarn anomaly winding on a grooved drum.
Thanks to the image variation technique, sensors IS3W/MTC are immune to ambient
yarn conditions (like yarn humidity, conductivity) and machine vibrations.



Furthermore, the image variation technique doesnít require contact with the
yarn and allows perfect monitoring without affecting the characteristics (e.g.
tension) of the yarn. Thanks to an innovative sensors management system (SMART
SCANNING SENSORS), SMART 200 MTC doesnít need complex wire assembly and long
time installation and it can control up to 200 yarns.
