Model - 2691 Pillow Boxing System

Machine Design :

1. The machine was designed to accept a pillow of a standard width, but with
different lengths from standard to king-size (nominally 26 inches to 36 inches).

2. The boxes were currently required to be no less than 24 inches long and no
longer than 48 inches long. .

3. In standardizing the machine it was made adjustable to accept boxes of one
width but of multiple heights and lengths.

4. The compression of the pillows is dictated by the number of pillows the
customer wishes to place in a box of a defined length, but the staging station
is currently divided to accept only as many as 12 pillows.

5. The machine will accept soft, regular and firm pillows.

6. The machine was designed to fill six count boxes at a feed rate of 20 pillows
per minute, if 12 count boxes are used than the machine will exceed that rate.
Besides from the normal cycling of the machine the only difference in cycling to
larger boxes is that the rate at which 12 pillows can be compressed is longer.

7.The pillows are inserted into the box on their end.



Machine Operation :

Jet Sew’s Model 2691 Pillow Boxing System can box 6 pillows at a rate of 20
pillows per minute. The pillows are placed on a divided staging station and the
operator activates the machine. The pillows are pushed into the empty magazine
and the empty staging station is then ready to accept the next group of pillows.
While the operator is filling the staging station, the pillows are automatically
compressed in the magazine and inserted into a preformed box. The machine
automatically advances a new box and removes the filled box during its cycle.
The boxes are filled while positioned on their side and set upright as they exit
the machine.



Special Features :

1. Each size box has it’s own pusher plate. The machine automatically adjusts
for the box using Jet Sew’s proven style recognition system.

2. The machine’s modular working surfaces are designed to allow them to be hinged and separated for easy style changes and maintenance.
