BETA 220 LENO air jet weaving machine : The BETA 220 LENO air jet weaving machine is an electronically controlled weaving machine designed to weave leno fabrics. The weft is inserted into the shed by an air jet stream that is directed into the channel of a special weaving reed by a system of main and relay nozzles. A system of moveable relay nozzles is used, enabling an optimum directing of the air streaming out from the relay nozzles into the picking channel of the weaving reed. The STÄUBLI shedding mechanism is modified by other mechanisms enabling the weaving of leno fabric. The formation of leno weave is performed by a linear reverse movement of a row of needles controlling the upper warp threads and a linear reverse movement of the 1st and 2nd heddle frame to positioning the bottom warp threads. The position of the bottom warp threads is defined in the course of the function cycle of the leno device by their lateral shift in the inclined grooves of the 1st heddle frame and is modified by means of a relative movement of a straight edge bar on the 2nd heddle frame. The complete cycle of the leno mechanism incorporates two revolutions of the weaving machine run or two woven-in wefts. The weaving machine is equipped with an electronic control system that controls and checks all machine functions: main drive regulation warp tension regulation weft density regulation in the fabric fabric winding (take-up) on a big batch weft feeding (measuring) weft air insertion (picking) ABS - automatic weft braking (tensioning) AFR automatic repairing of a faulty inserted weft Automatic stopping of the weaving machine warp and weft stop motions, safety bar (gate)
