Crabbing Ranges: Efficient Surface Setting with High Degree of Fixation in
Continuous Working Method- Model Supercrab GCP, System HEMMER
For woven and knitted fabrics of wool and blends with wool (PES/WO, WO/PAC, WO/PA, WO/CO; WO/CV etc.)
Continuous crabbing range providing a high degree of fixation.
First the fabric is moistened and pre-dryed by means of the pre-drying unit (option) in order to achieve the for the process optimum humidity of 30%. Then the fabric is straightened in the weft straightener Correfix (option), whereby the fabric width can be corrected again and finally determined. In the setting machine supercrab GCP 1200 the humid fabric is crabbed in "sandwich" between the heated effect cylinder and the heated pressure belt. The pressure belt is impermeable to air and, due to the high surface pressure produced by the belt stretching roller, fabric temperatures of up to 140°C can be achieved. With this method the setting degree is higher, even without using surface setting agents, as compared with the traditional continuous wet setting processes. Technological advantages: wrinkles produced in washing or dyeing are eliminated, baggy or wavy appearance is prevented and the fastness to water drops is improved.
The fabric run throughout the range is at absolutely minimum tension.
