DMS 17 - Compacting & Effecting Machine

The Steaming and Shrinking Machine is suitable to obtain the best shrinkage
and the best dimensional stability values for fabrics made by different fibre
such as ; 100% wool, wool/polyester, wool/silk, all blends of synthetic fibres
with cotton or viscose etc., with an excellent dimensional stability results and
the values obtained exceed the criteria of garment manufacturers.

Machine is also suitable for fist tumbling of knitted row velvet and for
increasing finishing quality of dyed velvet. The fabric is processed tension
free and treated under relax condition at every stage which is why;

The fabric is carried by a conveyor belt made of polyester fibre without coming
into contact with metallic surfaces. The feeding of the fabric on the conveyor
belt can be changed electronically according to the shrinkage values required.
Then the fabric is introduced in the steaming tunnel, which is overheated to
avoid the formation of condensation drops, which could damage and stain the
fabric.

This process is carried out in a complete steam zone. A vibrating cylinder
placed at the exit of the chamber makes it possible that the fabric can absorb
the steam. The steaming tunnel is thermally isolated to prevent any injury to
the personnel and its simple construction allows a rapid inspection and cleaning
operation. The fabric is carried thorough the relaxing zone before being
introduced in the thermic shock cooling zone, followed by folding process.

The machine can be built with one, two or more steaming tunnels. The processing
speed with one steaming tunnel is 10 – 15 m/min. For obtaining higher speeds
we recommend the machine with two or more steaming tunnels.

The speed of the conveyor belt, overfeeding and fabric loading are
electronically controlled.

To avoid tension at the exit of the conveyor belt, speed of the folding cylinder
is adjusted through optical detectors with no contact. The machine is supplied
with complete valves for steaming, electroaspirator and conveyor belt centering
device.
